Where the openings come from

The openings come from employer career sites, civilian federal openings on USAJOBS, and the job boards 4 Day Week, Hacker News, Himalayas, Jobicy, Remote OK, Remotive, startup.jobs, The Muse, We Work Remotely, and Working Nomads. BespokeJobs reads them as they are posted and drops a posting once it closes, so the search lists live US openings rather than an archive. Search lists only US openings, meaning jobs at a US location and remote jobs open to US workers. A posting whose location could not be read, such as one that lists only "2 Locations", is left out.

What the filters do

Search by keyword, then narrow the results by role family, state or metro area, remote or another work mode, a minimum yearly pay, seniority, industry, employment type, skills, and how recently a job was posted. Sort by date or by pay. The pay filter keeps jobs that do not list pay, so a minimum never hides an opening just because the employer left the salary off. The remote filter shows only jobs that are fully remote and open to US workers.
